Join NACG as a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic in Fort McMurray. This role entails servicing off-road equipment on a remote mining site with a competitive pay structure.
As part of the NACG team, you’ll provide vital maintenance for off-road machinery at the Syncrude Aurora site. This position requires at least two years of experience and involves diagnostic skills for complete repairs on CAT and Komatsu equipment. Work schedules are structured as 14 x 14 shifts, ensuring a balance of work hours and life.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs on CAT/Komatsu/Hitachi equipment
Conduct preventative maintenance and servicing tasks
Inspect and evaluate equipment performance
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Mentor apprentices and assist fellow Mechanics
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years post Journeyman experience
Valid Alberta Journeyperson Equipment Technician Certificate
Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Basic knowledge of computer applications
Ability to work with minimal supervision
