As the Janitor/Driver you will be responsible for keeping buildings clean and orderly, and performing heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Driving is required for this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans
Daily cleaning of public areas, bathrooms, hallways, lobby, and storage rooms
Delivery of linen and supplies to storage rooms
Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures
Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement
Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, protected workplace for visitors, and staff
Seek out areas requiring cleaning; take initiative to complete the task
Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors, shampoo carpet
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:
Must have a valid drivers license and provide clean driving record
Previous housekeeping/custodian experience is an asset
WHMIS Certification is an asset
Positive command of English language,



both verbal and written
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job

Additional Position Requirements:
1 year valid Driver's License and a clean driving record must be provided
Will be required to pass a test driving a Ford F150 Pickup truck
Minimum of 1 year of Janitorial Services
Pass a Drug & Alcohol Test
Pass a Criminal Record Check
Shift: 10hr/Day
Rotation: 20 Days on/10 Days off

The hourly wage for this position is $20.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
