Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter to join our custom home construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry, concrete finishing, and the use of various hand and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including siding, framing, and heavy equipment operation, contributing to high-quality building and renovation efforts. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting, reading schematics and blueprints, and working in physically demanding environments. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their construction skills within a professional setting.
Responsibilities
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute construction projects accurately
Perform concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks with precision and attention to detail
Install siding, framing, and other structural components using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely to assist with large-scale construction or restoration projects
Utilize welding techniques when necessary to join metal components or reinforce structures
Conduct demolition or removal of existing structures as needed for renovation projects
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Assist in the setup of scaffolding or other temporary structures for elevated work
Skills
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding construction schematics
Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and related concrete work
Skilled in carpentry, woodworking, siding installation, and general construction practices
Ability to operate power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, and welding equipment safely
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites
Robust physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or working at heights
Familiarity with restoration techniques and materials used in building renovation projects
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics accurately
Effective communication skills for teamwork and safety procedures

Pay: $35.00-$55.00 per hour
