MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW)
Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
Operate brazing and soldering equipment
Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers

REQUIRED SKILLS
Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta)
GTAW/SMAW-F6-F5/Fluxcore




F3-F4 Carbon
F6-F4 Chrome
CWB Structural Ticket
B-Pressure Ticket
H2S Alive is mandatory
Fall Protection is mandatory
Confined Space is mandatory
WHMIS 2015 is mandatory
One of the following Valid Safety Tickets; CSO,BSO or CSTS-09
High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others
Perform heavy maintenance work involving climbing, rigging, and exposure to high pressure hydraulic and pneumatic systems in accordance with all company safety procedures
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Demonstrate practical problem solving ability. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

WORKING CONDITIONS
Rotations: 7 & 7 (Shift Cycle is subject to change)
Day Shift (Night shift may be required)
Travel is required
Charter flights from Edmonton or Calgary to site
Camp accommodations
Ability to lift and carry objects independently or as a team
Ability to meet and maintain site access requirements
