Become a key contributor to the City of Stratford's Environmental Services as a Licensed Water Operator. This permanent, full time role focuses on maintaining water systems and ensuring compliance with standards.
Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Environmental Services, you will operate and monitor water treatment systems, including pumping stations and reservoirs. Ensure compliance with regulations while performing essential maintenance and water testing tasks. Your technical expertise will help optimize system performance in alignment with the Secure Drinking Water Act.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and monitor water treatment and distribution systems
• Conduct tests and collect water samples for analysis




• Inspect and maintain pumping plant equipment
• Maintain logs pertaining to system performance
• Undertake necessary emergency repairs as needed
Requirements:
• College Diploma in Environmental Technology or related field
• Class 1 Certification for water distribution preferred
• Water Meter Installer Certificate
• Valid Class DZ Driver’s License
• Availability for on-call and emergency duty
