Finning Canada is seeking a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice to work at their Fort McMurray Town Shop. This position involves hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Caterpillar products while working on a 7x7 continuous shift rotation. Ideal candidates will be 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentices with mechanical aptitude and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
• Assist with field repairs and diagnostics
• Complete technical documentation efficiently
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET tools daily
• Interact with customers and Finning team members
Requirements:
• Current 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year Apprentice status
• Pursuing Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
• Completed grade 12 education
• Previous Caterpillar experience is preferred
• Mechanical understanding of heavy equipment parts
