This key role in Calgary or Fort McMurray involves geotechnical engineering design and performance monitoring of mine structures. You will work closely with the Engineer and Designer of Record to ensure quality and integrity through inspections and evaluations.

Additionally, you’ll document findings and support stakeholders with comprehensive geotechnical reports and submissions.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform designs for mine earth structures, including dams and walls
Conduct performance monitoring through site inspections and evaluations




Prepare as-built records and performance reports
Plan and implement instrumentation drilling programs
Support regulatory authorization and governance programs

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering
8+ years in design and construction experience
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and geotechnical software
Registration with APEGA or eligibility required
Experience in oil sands mining preferred
