As a NSWOC Nurse, you will deliver advanced wound and ostomy care to diverse patient groups. With more than two years of nursing experience, you will educate peers and collaborate on best practices. Your expertise will ensure high-quality patient management and consultation, either in direct care or remotely, as part of a supportive health care team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct assessment and management for wound, ostomy, and continence care
• Educate patients, families, and nursing team members on care practices
• Consult internally and externally for specialty products
• Lead clinical initiatives in wound and ostomy care
• Precept ParaMed nurses as necessary
Requirements:
• Current NSWOC certification required
• Minimum of 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in community health preferred
• Membership with Wound Ostomy & Continence Canada is advantageous
• Completion of IIWCC may be considered
