Position Summary: We are currently looking for aJourneyman Electricianto join our growing team.

As a Journeyman, you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems.

This position requires a positive working knowledge of basic electronic theory and Building Electrical / Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities Installs, wiring, BMS and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installations.

Repairs and maintains low voltage systems (under 120V).

Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.

Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshootingandstartup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.

Appropriately handles and is familiar with all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.

Perform tasks with minimum supervision and in accordance with ESC Health& Safetypolicies and procedures Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health,



Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.

Adhere to the Companys Quality System operating procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings.

Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals.

Qualifications: Valid Drivers license.

Red Seal Journeyman Certificate BMS/ECS/Building Controls Experience is an asset Fluent in English both written and oral.

The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.

Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.

Good knowledge of the electrical trade and the Canadian Electrical Code.
