Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Alberta curriculum.

Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and academic success.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of students.

Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a variety of assessment strategies.

Foster the development of strong literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that encourage respect, responsibility, and collaboration.

Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student achievement, progress, and classroom activities.

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to enhance student learning and contribute to school initiatives.

Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices to support student engagement and learning.

Participate in school events, field trips, parent-teacher conferences, professional development activities,



and extracurricular programs as appropriate.

Support the social, emotional, and character development of students in alignment with the school''s values and mission.

Qualifications & Education

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Education (B.

Ed.) or equivalent teaching degree from a recognized institution.

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain certification prior to the start date).

Robust knowledge of the Alberta curriculum and effective instructional practices.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching at the elementary level.

Experience differentiating instruction to support diverse learning needs.

Experience contributing to extracurricular activities, clubs, or school programs.

While experience is an asset, we are also passionate about education, which includes supporting new teachers in their recent careers!
Certifications & Requirements

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (or eligibility to obtain certification prior to the start date).

Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to employment).

First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset.

Legally eligible to work in Canada.
