Your Chance: As a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence (NSWOC), you will deliver expert wound, ostomy, and continence consultation with in-person & virtually to patients, families, and communities across the continuum of care, including acute care, community settings 7 continuing care.

Your practice will reflect a commitment to safety, evidencebased care, and the holistic wellbeing of those you serve.

You will provide frontline consultation and clinical expertise related to wound, ostomy, continence, and skin health, while also supporting staff education and capacity building.

This role is part of a zone wide team.

Reporting to the North Zone Manager, you will work within a remotely centralized team of NSWOCs, collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure coordinated, highquality care across the lifespan.

This position is located out of the town of Onoway, but supports with NSWOC referrals virtually across the zone.

Travel may be required, and a reliable vehicle with business insurance is necessary.

Mileage or travel-related compensation is provided by the employer.

This position location is negotiable & the role can also be negotiated as a fully virtual role.

This position may qualify for a recruitment incentive for new hires, based on the length of their Return for Service.

For full details, visit Description: As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will be responsible for staff assignments,



patient flow and acting as a role model, clinical resource and advocate for nursing staff.

In addition to providing frontline nursing care, as required, you will take a leadership role in the promotion of quality patient care and the implementation of operational priorities.

Your in-depth knowledge and skills, advanced judgment and clinical experience, will assist in providing solutions for complex health care issues at all levels with patients, interprofessional teams, administrators and policy makers.

You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited nursing education program.

Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Masters in Nursing.

Canadian Nursing Association certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence NSWOC (C ).

Assisted Aids to Daily Living (AADL) authorizer.

Experience in at least two (2) care sectors.

Experience in program planning, interdisciplinary practice, and research activities.

Previous experience with providing adult education.
