Become a Community Developer with Salus and support individuals living with persistent mental illness. This permanent, full time position focuses on onsite assistance and cooperative programming.
You’ll be integral in facilitating group support and mediation for Salus tenants, working in partnership with the Housing Coordinator and community resources. Your focus on recovery principles will empower clients in their journeys while you help build connections with community partners for holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct recovery-oriented group facilitation
• Manage conflicts and provide mediation support
• Deliver personalized assistance to tenants
• Forge community partnerships to enhance services
• Engage with tenants' intervention plans
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience with marginalized populations
• Familiarity with Ottawa's housing providers
• Understanding of recovery and harm reduction concepts
• Effective crisis management and communication capabilities
