We are looking for aSocial Mediaand Advertising Specialist to join our Marketing & Growth team and help expand HRPAs reach, strengthen our onlinecommunityand create campaigns that support engagement, member acquisition and growth.
Key Responsibilities: The Social Media and Advertising Specialist, reporting to the Marketing Manager, will own the day-to-day execution of HRPAs organic social media presence and paid digital advertising.
You will create platform-specific content, engage with our community, managecampaigns, and turn performance insights into opportunities for growth.
Social Media Strategy: Develop and execute HRPAs social media content strategy, content pillars and publishing calendar across Linked
In, Instagram,Facebookand emerging platforms.
Content Creation: Write, film, edit and schedule compelling organic content, including copy,graphicsand short-form video, tailored to each platform and audience.
Community Building: Manage HRPAs social communities bymonitoringconversations, responding to followers and engaging proactively with members,prospectsand partners.
Live Storytelling: Attend HRPA conferences,eventsand chapter activities to capture and share authentic, real-time content that brings our community to life.
Paid Media: Plan, build and manage paid social and digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Linked
In,Metaand Google Ads to support membership,eventsand revenue goals.
Campaign Optimization: Manage approved advertising budgets and use testing, targeting and performance data to improve reach, engagement,conversionand cost-effectiveness.
Reputation Management: Monitorreviews, brand mentions and conversations across platforms such as Google, Glassdoor, Linked
In and Indeed, coordinating professional responses and escalating potential risks or opportunities whenappropriate.
Analytics and Reporting: Track social media and advertising results, translate data into actionable insights, and provide regular reports highlighting performance,learningsand opportunities.
Integrated Marketing: Collaborate with HRPAs design, content,emailand broader Marketing & Growth teams to ensure campaigns are consistent and connected across channels.
Qualifications
Were
Excited About: Education: College diploma or bachelors degree in marketing, communications, publicrelationsor a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2 - 4years of experience in social media management, digitaladvertising, or a related marketing role.
Hands-on experience managing organic social media accountsand online communities fora brand or organization.
Experience planning,launchingandoptimizingpaid social or digital advertising campaigns.
Experience reporting on engagement, reach,conversionsand other social and advertising performance measures.
Experience in an association, not-for-profit, member-based or B2B environment is an asset.
Platform Knowledge: Proficiencywith social media management tools such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social and advertising platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Linked
In Campaign Manager and Google Ads.
Content Skills: Strong writing and storytelling abilities,
with basicgraphic designand short-form video editing skills using tools such as Canva, Adobe Express or
CapCut.
Creative and Analytical Thinking: Able to generate fresh, audience-focused ideas while using performance data to test,learn, and improve.
Organization: Comfortable managing multiple content calendars, campaigns,deadlinesand stakeholder needs simultaneously.
Ownership and Collaboration: Proactive and comfortable working independently while contributing enthusiastically to a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Working Conditions: Comfortable attending and capturing content at live events.
Occasional travel to association and chapter activities.
Flexibility to support events outside regular business hours.
