Job ID: SUPP-PT-26/27-048 Location: Tri-Campus Deadline: August 7, 2026 Job Type: Support Start Date: September 8, 2026 End Date: April 23, 2027 Department: Libraries and Learning Commons Positions: 1 POSITION Summary The Subject Lead Tutor, Chemistry reports to the Manager of Libraries and Learning Commons and serves as the liaison with faculty and faculty team with regards to the subject area of chemistry.

The incumbent ensures subject-specific best practices in tutoring are explored and implemented and collaborates with faculty and Associate Deans closely to assess needs and provide effective tutoring services.

The tasks include facilitating student learning by providing tutoring services through drop-in, appointment, and pre-scheduled tutorials as supplemental instruction.

In providing tutoring services, the incumbent works with students in reviewing course concepts and provides feedback to help students learn and improve their understanding of the course concepts.

The Learning Services and Tutoring Lead must have expertise in the following subject areas:



Chemistry QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: A minimum of a masters degree in Chemistry. A minimum of three years of teaching or tutoring experience.

Other Required Qualifications: Knowledge of a variety of teaching techniques and learning styles Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment required Experience organizing promotional activities Experience working with diverse clients Excellent Communication (written and verbal) skills Excellent teamwork skills Physical/Work Setting Essential Requirements The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location and work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the colleges Telework Policy.
