Job Description In this role, you willcontribute to drivinggeospatial data and tooling needs for a large-scale project.

You will be part of a team of GISdevelopers responsible for sourcinggeospatial datain many modalities,andforbuildinggeospatial dataautomation and tooling in an AI/ML pipeline for new applications.

In this role,youllresearch andgather datafor specific regionsfromdifferent sources, including imagery and other raster data, vector data, and point clouds.

You will find andacquiredata from free/public domainsources,andparticipate inpartnerships with commercial data providers.

You willassistinmanagingthe coverage, freshness, quality, and costof the sourced data.

The most successfulteam memberswill have a working knowledge ofdisparate effective sources of data, and a curiosity for finding new ones.

To prepare this datafor AI/ML use,youllbuild anduseautomatedtools (,incorporatingopen sourcelibraries likeGDAL andin-housetools) to clean, resize,reformat,and align it soitsready forinternal customersto use.

You will alsobe responsible fortooling to automatically postprocess the output of a geospatial AI/ML pipeline for use by other teams.

This role involves working closely with different teams in our organization.

Youllpartner with the AI/ML teams to supply diverse data they need for building new machine learning models, and with the Pipeline and Product teams to ensure they have the necessary datarequired.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Aggregate data for target regions and ensure that a complete collection of data is available.

Research open, public domain, and commercial sensor data sources todeterminethe areas, quality, and freshness of available data.

Utilize open source (GDAL) and internally developed software tools to preprocess, align, crop, resample, and otherwise prepare data for use.

Wepreferopen sourcetools over proprietarysoftware, butunderstand that some software has no greatopen sourceequivalent.

Contribute to our internal tools that process and source geospatial datasets.

Partner with groups across the organization to understandneedsforGIS data for AI/ML research.

Coordinate withAI/ML team to provide diverse data for developing new machine learning algorithms, and the Pipeline and Product teams to provide data to roll out new regions.

Partner closely with leadership to understand the high-level product vision.

Vous effectuerez des recherches et collecterez des donnes pour des rgions spcifiques partir de diverses sources, notamment limagerie, les donnes raster, vectorielles et les nuages de points.

Vous identifierez et acquerrez des donnes provenant de sources ouvertes/publics ainsi que de fournisseurs commerciaux, tout en contribuant la gestion de la couverture, de lactualit, de la qualit et des cots des donnes.

Les membres les plus performants dmontrent une curiosit accrue et une bonne connaissance des diffrentes sources de donnes.

Pour prparer ces donnes des fins dIA/AA, vous dvelopperez et utiliserez des outils automatiss (en vous appuyant sur des bibliothques open source comme GDAL et des outils internes) afin de nettoyer, transformer et aligner les ensembles de donnes.

Vous serez galement responsable du dveloppement doutils permettant de post-traiter les rsultats des pipelines gospatiaux dIA/AA.

Ce poste implique une troite collaboration avec diffrentes quipes.

Vous travaillerez avec les quipes dIA/AA, ainsi que les quipes Pipeline et Produit, afin de leur fournir les donnes ncessaires aux activits de recherche, de dveloppement et de mise en production.

Contribuer aux outils internes de traitement et dacquisition des donnes gospatiales.

Collaborer avec les quipes IA/AA, Pipeline et Produit afin de comprendre et rpondre aux besoins en donnes.

Soutenir le dveloppement de nouveaux cas dusage en IA en fournissant des donnes diversifies et de haute qualit.

Collaborer avec la direction pour aligner les travaux techniques sur la vision produit.

Qualifications Bachelors or

Mastersdegree inGIS,Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field 2+ years of relevant industry experience in a fast paced, high growth tech environment.

Experience with GIS modalities and formats, including at least some oforthoimagery(GeoTIFF),point clouds such as

LiDAR ( LAS/LAZ), vector data ( ESRI Shapefiles,GeoJSON, OSM),raster data storingelevation and terrain information such as DTM, DSM, and DEMs,andraster data storinglandcover information.

Software engineering experience,



includingdesigning and architecting software.

Experience in

Pythonforautomation of common tasks and/or contributing to our existing tool paletteisrequired.

Desired Characteristics: Team-oriented and collaborative approach with a demonstrated aptitude,enthusiasmand willingness to learn recent methods, tools,practicesand skills.

Passion and curiosity for GIS and software engineering.

Experience working with open-source GIS libraries and tools, including PROJ and GDAL, for spatial data processing, transformation, and analysis.

Comfort with working outside of an ArcGIS-centric workflow.

Experience with someflavorof Linux.

Comfort with some flavor of a*nix shell environment (bash) isstronglypreferred.

Enthusiasm for automated development processes and systems.
