This temporary part time position reports directly to the Director of Care. The Health Care Aide (HCA) monitors client conditions and ensures timely medication administration. You will work closely with younger adults experiencing chronic diseases, leveraging your expertise in neurological conditions and mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
• Observe and report client status to nursing staff
• Administer prescribed medications accurately
• Manage lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients
• Provide trauma-informed care and support
• Maintain qualified standards and ethical practices
Requirements:
• High School Diploma plus Health Care Aide program
• Active registration with CLHA required
• Experience with mental health and neurological conditions
• Effective communication skills in English
• Related health care experience is an asset
