Engage with students and community partners at UBC's School of Social Work as the Field Education and Admissions Assistant. This role encompasses administrative support and managing student admissions processes effectively.
Reporting to various coordinators, your contributions will support the efficient execution of student placements, admissions inquiries, and administrative tasks. You will be responsible for communicating with prospective students and external agencies while managing student sentiment and confidentiality with discretion. Solid organization and interpersonal skills will be vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to student and agency inquiries adeptly
• Coordinate practicum placements through logistical support
• Manage student records and essential documentation
• Organize events for student outreach and education
• Develop and maintain a database for student placements
Requirements:
• Completion of high school plus four years related work experience
• Understanding of social work program regulations
• Competence in handling sensitive student information
• Experience with MS Office and communication technology
• Transparent and effective communication skills in diverse contexts
