Equip and Platinum Trailers, youll work in a genuinely mixed environment production runs, custom oneoffs, prototype builds where the work is varied, the standards are high, and your full range of skills gets used.

Work Arrangement: Full
Time, Fully Onsite, Monday to Friday, day shift depending on production needs.
This is handson assembly work in a busy manufacturing environment.
Compensation: This is a hourly position paying $22-$34/hr depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package including Extended Health Care, Dental, and RRSP contributions.
Overtime is available for those who want it.

Equip, youll work across both production and custom fabrication one day building repeatrun trailer components, the next fitting up a oneoff prototype or tackling a custom order that hasnt been built before.
The work is diverse by design: we build what others wont, which means we need welders who are genuinely skilled, not just fast.
In a typical week, youll move between production welding, custom fitup and fabrication, and handson problemsolving with our engineering and fabrication teams.
Its a role that suits people who take pride in their craft and thrive when no two days are quite the same.
Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and fabrication sketches for both production builds and custom projects.
Fit, assemble, and weld aluminum and steel components with precision proper alignment, tolerances, and structural integrity every time.
Perform production welding on repeatrun trailer components while maintaining consistent quality and efficiency.
Support custom fabrication and prototyping by building oneoff parts, test assemblies, and new design concepts.
Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to solve fitup challenges and refine prototype designs.
Select appropriate welding processes (MIG/TIG) and parameters based on material type, thickness, and project requirements.
Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to ensure accurate fitup and repeatability.
Operate fabrication equipment including saws, torches, grinders, hoists, and welding machines.
Inspect welds and assemblies against internal quality standards and customer specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area proper PPE and safety procedures are nonnegotiable.

Qualifications & Experience: 35+ years of welding and fitting experience in a fabrication, trailer, or heavyequipment environment.
Proficiency in aluminum and steel welding MIG required, TIG a solid asset.
Strong fitting skills: able to read drawings, lay out parts, check tolerances, and build accurate assemblies.
Experience in both production and custom fabrication settings.
Ability to build, modify, or work with jigs and fixtures to support repeatability and accuracy.
Comfortable with prototyping, oneoff builds, and solving fitup challenges on the fly.
Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and work in a shop environment for extended periods.
Solid understanding of weld quality standards, distortion control, and proper heat management.
Strong problemsolving instincts and attention to detail.
Genuine pride in the quality of your work.
Education & Certifications: Completion of a welding apprenticeship or equivalent trade certification required.
