Our energy & resources client is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Projects specialist (10+ years) to lead procurement and contracting activities for capital and operations projects within oil & gas environments Join a team supporting high-value industrial projects with critical impact on operational delivery and cost efficiency.

This role drives full-cycle sourcing, negotiation, and contract management to ensure compliant and cost-effective supply chain execution.

Working closely with project, engineering, and operations stakeholders, the Specialist ensures audit-ready procurement processes and supplier alignment.

The position offers visibility across major energy initiatives within the oil & gas sector.

Contract, Calgary, Onsite, Working Hours: MST Must Haves 68 years in procurement or supply chain management within oil & gas , mining , or heavy industrial project environments Experience executing RFQ/RFP , contract negotiation , and supplier management for capital projects Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle for reporting and analysis Solid understanding of contract law , risk management , and procurement compliance Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management,



Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline Nice to Have Qualified supply chain designation (SCMP, CPSM, CIPS) Experience with EPC contractors, fabricators, or service providers Exposure to HSSE, local content, and sustainability considerations Ability to manage independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Responsibilities Collaborate with project, engineering, and operations teams to implement procurement strategies aligned with timelines and budgets Execute end-to-end sourcing, including preparing and evaluating RFQs/RFPs and awarding contracts for project goods and services Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions to secure optimal value and mitigate risk Manage supplier performance, contract amendments, and invoice issue resolution Maintain accurate procurement documentation ensuring audit readiness Issue purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services aligned with approved contracts and delivery schedules Participate in cross-functional initiatives to optimize supply chain performance, cost, and lead time
