Join Canadian Blood Services as an Analytical Development Scientist I at the Vancouver site. This temporary full time role focuses on optimizing and characterizing assays for blood products. The ideal candidate will play a vital role within the Network Centre for Applied Development (NetCAD) team.
You will focus on analytical testing, contribute to assay development, and support projects to enhance product processes. Your work will help in generating scientific evidence necessary for current testing capabilities and stabilizing existing processes. Key Responsibilities:
Support development and characterization of analytical assays
Conduct complex laboratory assays and document results
Analyze and interpret data, addressing potential issues
Prepare scientific documentation and standard operating procedures
Present findings to internal stakeholders clearly Requirements:
PhD in a relevant field or Master’s with 3 years' experience
Knowledge of blood products and related analytical techniques
Experience with laboratory assays like ELISA and flow cytometry
Strong communication and documentation skills
