Transform lives as an Awake Night Support Worker with Spirit of Our Youth, focusing on Indigenous youth well-being. Your commitment ensures a healthy and secure overnight environment for youth in care.
This position involves providing supervision during the overnight hours while assisting youths with morning routines. Daily tasks will include household maintenance, encouraging participation in cultural practices, and handling crisis situations effectively. The role is pivotal in nurturing positive connections within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing supervision to youth residing in care
• Conduct bed checks to maintain safety
• Prepare breakfast and foster a family-style atmosphere
• Assist youths with personal hygiene and dressing
• Maintain accurate records and logs for program tracking
Requirements:
• At least 2 years' experience in a related field
• Preference for experience with Indigenous children/youth
• Relevant education in Social Work or similar
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification needed
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
