Job Description We are looking for an experienced Dock Worker to assume the afternoon shift Supervisor position.
Note, that this is medical relief position that has potential to become permanent.
Assign and supervise the outbound freight flow with a focus on ensuring departure times are met and service standards are being upheld.
Assisting with labeling, unloading freight, and loading when necessary Ensuring staff are using proper freight handling techniques and are operating in a protected manner Entering the daily outbound lineup Preparing shipping documents for drivers (manifests, DG ppwk) Managing shipping lanes and planning overflows Working with Central Maintenance to ensure equipment tags are addressed and repairs are being scheduled Qualifications Experienced Dock Worker is preferred Ability to multi-tax and prioritize jobs Good communication skills and a positive ''can do'' attitude.
