Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our healthcare team at a prison facilities in Peterborough. As a Band 5 Nurse, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to the inmate population within the prison. The successful candidate must have prison clearance and their own transport for commuting purposes.

Responsibilities:
Administering medications to inmates during medication rounds and ensuring accurate documentation.
Assessing and prioritizing inmate healthcare needs in clinic triage and making appropriate referrals.
Responding to emergency medical situations within the prison and providing prompt care.
Assisting in the admission and discharge processes of inmates with proper documentation.
Owning personal transport for commuting to the prison facility.

Requirements:
Registered General Nurse with valid nursing qualification and regulatory registration.
Must have prison clearance.
Experience in a similar healthcare setting, preferably in prison healthcare.
Proficiency in medication administration and documentation.




Strong triage skills for assessing and prioritizing healthcare needs.
Ability to respond to emergency situations within the prison.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
Solid organizational abilities and adherence to protocols.
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call duties.
