The Library Director position is pivotal at St. Augustine’s Seminary, supporting its mission for intellectual and spiritual formation. You will oversee daily operations, collaborate with faculty and external partners, and enhance library services through cutting-edge programs. A solid foundation in academic library administration is essential, with responsibilities also including budget management and policy updates.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive strategic planning for library services
• Manage day-to-day library operations effectively
• Implement new technologies to enhance services
• Update policies in consultation with stakeholders
• Monitor library maintenance and improvement needs
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in library studies (MLIS) required
• Minimum of 3 years in academic library leadership
• Familiarity with theological resources preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively in various formats
• Respect for Roman Catholic beliefs and organizational structures
