If anyone is interested, please share your resume to Job Title: SAP Fioneer FPSL Functional Consultant Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite) Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced SAP Fioneer FPSL Functional Consultant to support the implementation and configuration of SAP Fioneer Financial Products Subledger (FPSL) for banking products.

The ideal candidate will have robust expertise in FPSL functional configuration, event-based accounting, IFRS 9, subledger accounting, and integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance.

This role involves solution design, configuration, testing, reconciliation, and deployment in a Banking/Financial Services environment.

Required Experience 8+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.

Hands-on experience implementing SAP Fioneer FPSL.

Experience in Banking or Financial Services projects.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, IFRS 9, and financial product accounting.

Configure contract types, contract attributes, event types, event processing, posting schemas, and accounting determinations.





Set up valuation areas, accounting principles, subledger accounting layers, and ledgers.

Implement event-based accounting aligned with IFRS 9 requirements.

Configure accounting logic for financial asset classifications including AC, FVOCI, and FVTPL.

Support Effective Interest Rate (EIR)-based accruals, fee processing, amortization, and derecognition events.

Validate accounting results and postings at contract and General Ledger levels.

Support inbound integrations from Core Banking systems and Treasury/Trading platforms.

Validate event payloads, attribute mappings, and data enrichments.

Support outbound integration with SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal.

Validate GL account derivations, document splitting, and posting consistency.

Execute Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Perform reconciliations between source systems, FPSL, and SAP S/4HANA Finance.

Investigate and resolve functional defects during testing and production support.

Collaborate with Finance, Technical, Integration, and Business teams throughout project delivery.

Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing SAP FPSL in large Banking transformation programs.

Strong understanding of Core Banking products and financial accounting processes.

Knowledge of Treasury and Trading product accounting.

Experience with SAP FI, SAP S/4HANA Finance, and Universal Journal.

Familiarity with regulatory reporting and accounting standards.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
