We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a non-profit organization in Ottawa, Ontario on a Long-term Contract basis.

This role will lead the full finance function, provide accurate financial reporting, and support informed decision-making across the organization.

The successful candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to communicate financial results clearly to leadership and the board.

Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial activities are completed accurately and on schedule.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Present financial results, key trends, and budget updates to the board in a transparent and thorough manner.





Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support organizational planning and financial stewardship.

Manage payroll processes and maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting requirements.

Reconcile accounts regularly, investigate discrepancies, and strengthen financial controls where needed.

Generate ad hoc financial analysis and customized reports to support operational and strategic decisions.

Work with accounting and reporting systems to maintain reliable financial data and improve reporting efficiency.
