Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience—talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeCA$100,000.00/yr - CA$120,000.00/yrPosition SummaryReporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager is responsible for full-cycle accounting operations and ensuring the effective use and understanding of accounting software across the organization. This role plays a critical part in the corporate accounting process, including Joint Ventures, and is responsible for the training, supervision, and development of junior accounting staff.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate and timely financial statementsOversee full-cycle accounting operationsSupervise and mentor direct reports and junior accounting staffManage Work-in-Progress (WIP) accountingSupport financial reporting, annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisEnsure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all accounting functionsSupport month-end and year-end close processesIdentify errors, inefficiencies, and recommend process improvementsAssist with project expenditure controls and procurement requisitionsSupport Project Managers with accounts receivable and collections as requiredReview and release bi-weekly wire runs through online bankingComplete GST and corporate tax filings and paymentsReview and approve credit applicationsImprove reporting systems and recommend technology or system solutions to enhance efficiency and transparencyWork closely with Project Administration on AP and AR processesManage administration of the Corporate VISA card program and implement approved process improvementsPerform other accounting duties as assignedQualificationsEducationPost-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business AdministrationCPA designation is considered an assetExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in a senior accounting roleConstruction industry experience is an assetKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesConstruction industry experience preferred (not essential)Strong ability to multitask and manage changing priorities under strict deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong people and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levelsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving skills## Handling This:***Proactive, self-motivated, and able to anticipate business needsInnovative mindset with the ability to recommend and implement improvementsPositive attitude with a solid desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of workSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing, Finance, and Project ManagementIndustriesEnvironmental ServicesConstructionAgricultureMining Machinery Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
