Position Description This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and support of complex data integration solutions, with a strong focus on interest rate data, Expected Credit Loss (ECL) processing, and IFRS 9 metrics. The role requires close collaboration with risk, finance, and technology teams to ensure data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational stability. Future Duties and Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance booking system loaders to ingest, transform, and validate interest rate–related data points Modify and extend existing ECL back-feed processes to support new IFRS 9 LGD and EAD measures Build new end-to-end ETL processes to load corporate and commercial customer address data from certified and approved data sources Ensure data lineage, consistency, and reconciliation across upstream and downstream systems Develop and maintain IBM DataStage jobs, sequences, and parameter sets in complex, high-volume environments Optimize ETL performance, error handling, and restartability Implement robust data validation, exception handling, and audit controls Support environment migrations and deployment across development, test, and production environments Provide application and data support for production issues, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes Monitor batch processing, investigate data anomalies, and resolve job failures within defined SLAs Participate in incident, problem,
and change management processes Document solutions, operational procedures, and known issues Support regulatory reporting and risk analytics initiatives related to IFRS 9 and ECL Ensure data solutions comply with internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements Work closely with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to interpret requirements and translate them into technical solutions Collaborate with business analysts, data modelers, QA teams, and infrastructure partners Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and deployment activities Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including standardization and automation Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Qualifications 5–7 years of experience in application development and production support 5–7 years of hands‑on experience with IBM DataStage in enterprise‑scale environments Proven experience working with ETL, data warehousing, and batch processing systems Experience supporting mission‑critical financial applications Technical Skills Strong expertise in IBM DataStage Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases Experience with data reconciliation,
controls, and audit frameworks Familiarity with scheduling tools and batch processing concepts Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills Solid analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and application issues Ability to perform root cause analysis and recommend long‑term solutions Attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality and accuracy Soft Skills Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional team Comfortable working in a hybrid, client‑facing environment Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications Experience in banking or financial services Exposure to IFRS 9, ECL, LGD, EAD, or credit risk frameworks Experience working with regulatory reporting or risk platforms Knowledge of data governance and metadata management practices CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
