Join Taproot Community Support Services as a Residential Support Worker in Prince George, British Columbia. This role supports adults with complex needs, fostering independence in a caring, supportive workplace.
In this position, you'll provide essential advocacy and mentoring to clients dealing with addictions and mental health challenges. You will work approximately on-call and may transition into part-time or full time prospects as they arise. Your responsibilities involve assisting clients in their daily lives and promoting their independence through skill-building and community integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work towards clients’ Individual Support Plans (ISP)
• Support complex emotional and behavioral needs
• Employ de-escalation techniques for challenging situations
• Assist clients with household and life skills
• Model healthy relationships and boundaries
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in related fields
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in support roles
• Valid BC Driver’s Class 5 License
• Certifications in CPR/First Aid and Crisis Intervention
• Clean Criminal Record Check prior to employment
