Hays Civil Construction division in Toronto are partnered with our client as they continue to expand, hiring an experienced Health and Safety Advisor Civil Infrastructure.

Your new Role As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will provide proactive hands-on field support in preparing, deploying, and applying health and safety procedures and tools while acting as a visible andmunicative representative of subcontractors and the resolution of non-conformances.

Your day-to-day responsibilities, will consist of the following: Coordinator directs construction team members and subcontractors; anticipates and prepare activities, including safety standards such as reviewing workplace; conduct and overseeprehensive site safety inspections, hazard assessments, and field audits across multiple trade and activities; support site activities by applying safety standards and assisting subcontractors and the construction team withpliance; Organize and monitor site safety visits, including follow-up actions; Evaluate the safety performance of subcontractors, the construction team and suppliers, ensuring they meet the projects safety standards; Assist to manage HSE onboarding and induction sessions for current staff and subcontractors; Prepare and update health and safety documentation (inductions, procedures, forms, checklists, etc.) and ensure timely coordination; assist in incident reporting and follow-up,



ensuring corrective actions are documented and tracked; Contribute to emergency preparedness activities and ensure readiness of response plans.

What youll need to Succeed To succeed as the Health and Safety Advisor, you will bring 35 years of experience in Health and Safety roles in the field of large infrastructure projects; Proven experience in civil/earthworks is required; Demonstrate practical knowledge of current health and safety legislation; Familiarity with safety management systems and incident reporting tools; Strongmunication skills; Exhibit strong time management skills; High attention to detail and proactive approach to problem-solving.

What youll get in Return As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will earn a base salary of $80, 000.00- $100, 000.00+ dependent on experience + potential for bonus, benefits, RRSP, vacation and more.
