Join the Centre for Newcomers in Calgary as an engaging Case Manager focused on the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Leverage your advocacy skills and local network connections to support clients through their resettlement challenges.
In this well-rounded role, you will manage the entire client care cycle for 2SLGBTQ+ newcomers. You will utilize your fluency in queer terminology to accurately assess needs and create effective service plans tailored to each individual’s requirements. Previous experience in facilitating support groups will enhance your ability to foster resilience and create inclusive settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs through comprehensive intake interviews
• Monitor and evaluate implementation of case management plans
• Facilitate workshops and support groups for clients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize service delivery
• Redesign processes to continuously improve client outcomes
Requirements:
• Preferred degree or diploma in social services
• Two years of case management experience
• Direct experience with Queer/Trans communities
• Familiar with immigrant/refugee issues
• Robust community connections in Queer/Trans spaces
