The Senior Analyst, Pricing supports The Home Depots Merchandising organization by executing analytical work, generating insights, and contributing to pricing strategy for a defined portfolio of departments.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pricing this role provides the data, analytics, and operational support needed to optimize pricing decisions that drive sales, margin, and market competitiveness.

This position is ideal for someone who is analytically robust, curious, detail oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and energized by solving complex business problems in a fast paced retail setting.

Key Responsibilities: Pricing Analysis & Execution Conduct detailed analysis of competitive price positioning, elasticity, promotional effectiveness, and category performance.

Support the implementation of pricing actions across everyday retail, promotions, markdowns, and regional strategies.

Maintain and update pricing models, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Monitor pricing KPIs such as margin rate, price perception benchmarks, competitive gaps, and unit performance.

Insights & Reporting Translate data into actionable insights that support strategy development for assigned departments.

Build standardized and ad-hoc reports to track the impact of pricing decisions.

Proactively identify trends and opportunities that improve customer value and financial outcomes.

Communicate insights clearly to all levels of leadership and cross-functional partners.

Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Merchants, Finance,



and Pricing Operations to ensure accurate and timely execution of pricing actions.

Process Support & Governance Validate pricing data to maintain accuracy across systems and channels.

Support the enhancement of pricing processes, tools, and operational workflows.

Ensure pricing actions adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and strategic pricing guidelines.

Qualifications Required Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.

Prior experience in retail or e-commerce with knowledge of core pricing strategy concepts including elasticity, competitive price checks, margin optimization and promotional analysis.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience analyzing large datasets.

Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) and AI (Gemini, Copilot).

Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to communicate complex data and insights in a clear, structured way and drive actionable recommendations.

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced, cross-functional retail environment.

Preferred Experience with GBQ, SQL, Python, or other query/analytics languages.
