Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to support residents’ needs in a temporary part time role. Deliver compassionate care and engage with residents in Ontario.
In this crucial role, you'll provide physical and emotional support to residents, guiding them through daily activities and maintaining their well-being. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will ensure all services adhere to quality and safety standards while actively participating in resident care planning and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with daily care routines
• Support ambulation and feeding assistance
• Promote engagement in recreational activities
• Offer emotional support and palliative care
• Document care needs and collaborate with the care team
Requirements:
• Completed PSW Program recognized by regulatory bodies
• Previous long-term care experience preferred
• Skills in care planning and documentation
• Demonstrated empathy and effective communication
• Must complete a vulnerable sector check
