Position TitleSenior Mechanical Design EngineerAbout The RoleWestinghouse Electric Canada Inc is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems and engineering consultant services for the nuclear industry in Canada. You will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions. Specifically, as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first of a kind tooling. You will report to the Robotic Tooling Design Manager and be located at our Kitchener, Ontario office. This position will be offered as a hybrid role with the expectation of working onsite at our Kitchener, Ontario office 2 days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials for complex electro‑mechanical first of a kind toolingAssembly and testing of custom equipment through the design evolution from prototype to finished productHelp develop test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specificationsHelp operate the final tooling system in the customer facilitiesProvide technical oversight and mentoring of more junior members of the Engineering teamPerform both classical hand calculations and analysis (including FEA)
