This position is a newly created role. Our people bring deep industry knowledge to help you succeed.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Perform as a Senior Architect with both internally and externally facing relationships and responsibilitiesPreparation of planning documents, conceptual and schematic designs, illustrations and graphics, construction details, construction documents, technical specifications and cost estimates for a wide variety of public and private sector projectsUse computer software as a tool for solving architectural problemsMaintain conformance with building standards,
established architectural practices, and applicable building codesProvide support to the Architectural Manager and Project Manager across all phases of building design and construction projects as requiredPrepare creative, functional and innovative designs for clientsPreparation of detailed architectural designs, architectural details and specificationsWork with various disciplines to develop designs and meet with clients as requiredAssist in business developmentQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in architecture with 6+ years of relevant professional experience with complex buildingsProficiency in Revit is a mustMust be a Licensed Architect with the OAAExperience in Alternative Delivery models (IPD, MDB, etc.)Holding or ability to obtain security clearanceClient facing with strong communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Ontario Building CodeMaster’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institute or equivalent experienceCollaborative and ability to work within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team including internal and external consultants and specialistsStrong conceptual and technical knowledge of building constructionThorough knowledge of building systems and construction detailingExcellent communication and organizational skills; strong problem identification and problem resolution skillsProficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, and other methods to convey ideasExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong presentation skillsAbility to work with various Canadian municipalities for permitting and development approvals processProject Management experience is an assetAdditional InformationCompany paid relocation is not available for this positionSponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this positionOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
