JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Hybrid (Downtown, Toronto)

Duration : 8 months

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Business Analyst - Salesforce to Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with business stakeholders to gather and refine requirements The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in role:

Business & Requirements Analysis

- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.
- Challenge assumptions and ask probing questions to identify underlying business needs.
- Translate complex business problems into clear user stories, process flows, and functional requirements.
- Document current state and future state processes.
- Identify impacts across systems, teams, and business processes.

Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with Business Owners, Product Owners, Relationship Managers, Operations teams, and Technology partners.
- Facilitate discussions to align stakeholders on scope, priorities, solutions, and business outcomes.
- Build strong relationships across business and technology teams.
- Manage conflicting requirements and drive consensus.

Agile Delivery Support

- Create and maintain detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, epics, and features within Jira.
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities.
- Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed for development teams.
- Work closely with developers and solution architects throughout design and build activities.




- Clarify requirements and answer functional questions during delivery.

Solution Design & Dependency Management

- Develop a deep understanding of the Commercial Banking ecosystem and related platforms.
- Analyze upstream and downstream impacts of proposed solutions.
- Identify integration points, process dependencies, data dependencies, and operational impacts.
- Partner with architects and technology teams to assess feasibility and solution options.
- Support end-to-end solution design discussions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Partner with QA teams to ensure business requirements are well understood.
- Review test cases and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Participate in defect triage and issue resolution.
- Validate delivered functionality against business requirements.

Documentation & Governance

- Maintain high-quality documentation within Confluence and other project repositories.
- Create:
- Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
- Functional Requirements
- User Stories
- Data Mapping Documents
- Process Flows
- Business Rules
- UAT Materials
- Decision Logs
- Ensure requirements traceability from idea through implementation.

Must-Have Skills:





- 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments.
- Experience facilitating workshops with senior business stakeholders.
- Solid requirements elicitation and documentation skills
- 2-3 years of recent experience working on Salesforce CRM implementations or enhancements

Nice-To-Have Skills:

- Experience in Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Wealth, or Financial Services.
- Previous experience with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft Office Suite

- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be a self-starter, reliable, highly motivated, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to detail.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
