We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Retail Assistant Manager to join our vibrant retail team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily store operations, foster a positive shopping environment, and drive sales growth through exceptional team management and customer service. Your energetic approach and managerial expertise will ensure the store runs smoothly, inventory is well-managed, and customers leave satisfied. Responsibilities

- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and operational efficiency
- Lead, motivate, and supervise retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize product visibility and sales potential
- Handle employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team
- Conduct interviewing, recruiting, and onboarding of new team members to build a strong retail workforce
- Utilize POS systems for sales transactions, cash handling, and sales management while maintaining accuracy in cash registers and bookkeeping
- Coordinate purchasing, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to optimize store profitability
- Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports on store performance, and assist with budgeting and operational planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and store procedures




- Support shift management duties including scheduling staff shifts and managing customer service issues with professionalism

Requirements

- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic math for cash handling and sales calculations
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, purchasing, merchandising, and operational management
- Experience with employee orientation, training & development, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory control
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques including pricing strategies and marketing initiatives
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities
- Basic math skills for daily financial transactions; familiarity with grocery or wireless sales is advantageous
- Strong managerial communication skills to lead teams confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Previous experience in shift management, store management or retail math is highly desirable

Pay: $34.00-$36.00 per hour
