Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years Work site environment Confined spaces Noisy In/on water Work setting Staff accommodation provided Remote location Tasks Conduct maintenance and emergency repairs to engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment Inspect maintenance and emergency repairs done on engines, machinery and all auxiliary equipment Operate main engines, machinery and auxiliary equipment on ships Supervise and co-ordinate activities of engine room crew Stand engine room watch, monitoring and noting performance of engines,



machinery and all auxiliary equipment Maintain records and prepare reports on engine performance and failures Supervision 3-4 people Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 2nd Class Marine Engineer Certificate Type of experience Tank vessel Passenger ship Bulk cargo vessel Container vessel Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Physically demanding Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Combination of sitting, standing, walking Large workload Other advantages On-site housing options On-site recreation and activities Transportation provided by employer Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 40 to 56 hours per week
