Port Hawkesbury Paper is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Maintenance team.

This full-time position is responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of our vast array of mobile equipment.

Skills/Competency Requirements: Ability to work safely as part of a team Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic issues on a variety of machines Welding, Hydraulics and Machining Comfortable working alone in diagnosing emergency breakdowns Self-motivated with solid prioritization skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Willing to work overtime, after-hours call-ins as needed and occasional shift work Able to support other plant maintenance activities and teams when necessary Experience/Education Requirements: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Journeyperson Certification Knowledge of Sennebogen (woodyard material handler),



Hitachi and Cat equipment A second trade would be an asset Class 1 Driver''s License considered an asset Compensation: Pay rate is $42.24/hour per Collective Agreement.
