Date Posted: 2026-06-04 Country: Canada Location: CA-ON-OAKVILLE-1400 ~ 1400 S Service Rd W ~ 1400 SERVICE Position Role Type: Onsite Collins Aerospace is looking to hire Machine Shop Technician - Horizontal Mill who will be reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor on the weekend night shift.
As the Machine Shop Technician - Horizontal Mill, you will produce aircraft parts to drawing while operating machines in the cell.
Work Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario - Canada Work Shift: Weekend Night Friday Sunday (6:00 PM 6:00 AM) What You Will Do Perform own manual set-ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set-up instructions using CNC programming language (G codes).
Maintain tolerances by observing operation and making necessary machine offset adjustments, cutter changes and self-inspection (OSV-Operator Self Verification).
Document actions in support of quality logs, communicate all discrepancies in machining to supervision and create Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required.
Perform work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings.
Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have High school diploma, with a minimum of one year of relevant manufacturing experience.
Experience operating CNC Machines Experience with measuring equipment in support of quality requirements Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
Qualifications We Prefer Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) 5 Axis Machining experience Willing to multi-task as required.
Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a secure manner.
Strong verbal and written communication skills Willingness to train and operate other machines in the cell and willingness to work overtime.
