Make a meaningful impact at Peel Addiction Assessment & Referral Centre as an Addictions Counsellor. This full time role allows you to support clients with opioid use while offering counseling and education.
In this permanent position located in Mississauga, you will be instrumental in developing and evaluating the Opioids Program. Your key tasks will include conducting assessments, creating care plans, and responding to crises. You will manage a diverse caseload and work with various community stakeholders to advocate for your clients' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct intake and assessment of clients with opioid issues
• Provide supportive counseling and effective case management
• Respond promptly to crisis situations and offer interventions




• Facilitate process groups and utilize technology effectively
• Build relationships with clients and community organizations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Proficient in prevalent languages of the Peel Region
