Role Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Lead the environmental and regulatory aspects of complex highway and alternative delivery projects from planning through construction.
Manage environmental assessments, approvals, and mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal requirements.
Provide expert advice on environmental regulations, standards, and emerging issues to support timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Oversee environmental consultants, including procurement, contract administration, project scheduling, budget management, and deliverables.
Review technical submissions and ensure project requirements meet regulatory and departmental standards.
Build and maintain effective relationships with regulators, Indigenous communities, government partners, municipalities, and other stakeholders through comprehensive consultation and engagement efforts.
Negotiate and coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure approvals and resolve complex environmental issues.
Manage the Alberta Wildlife Watch Program an animal-vehicle collision safety program.
