Contribute to urban planning with the City of Mississauga as an Active Transportation Program Assistant. Support outreach projects and collaborate on Master Plan objectives in a hybrid work setting.
Reporting to the Manager, Active Transportation, you will help drive the planning and delivery of community-focused outreach and School Streets Projects. This role involves conducting research, creating reports, and assisting with program delivery to ensure successful execution of Cycling and Pedestrian Master Plans. Your solid communication and analytical skills will be invaluable in this temporary 12-month position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead research and design for Master Plan programs
• Draft and present reports to stakeholders
• Analyze issues and recommend solutions
• Participate in policy development meetings
• Prepare program manuals and web content
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in urban or policy planning
• Two years of experience in a policy-based role
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Solid interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite
