Azura Medical Clinic is a busy medical clinic dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a professional and compassionate environment. We are currently seeking a reliable, organized, and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant to join our team.

Position Summary

The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to physicians and healthcare staff. This role involves patient reception, appointment scheduling, medical documentation, electronic medical record management, and coordination of daily clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet and check in patients in a qualified and courteous manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring confidentiality and privacy of medical information.
- Process referrals, laboratory requisitions, diagnostic imaging requests, and medical forms.
- Scan, index, and attach incoming documents (e.g., faxes, laboratory results, consultation reports) to the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Use Healthquest proficiently for patient registration, scheduling, chart management, and other daily clinic workflows.
- Coordinate communication between physicians, patients, specialists, pharmacies, hospitals, and other healthcare providers.




- Process billing tasks and insurance documentation as required.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and professional reception area.
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant or Medical Administration program is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting is an asset.
- Proficiency with the Healthquest EMR system is required.
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
