Opportunity
MacEwan University is seeking a Curriculum and Enrolment Planning Analyst for a full-time continuing chance with the Office of the University Registrar (OUR).
The Curriculum and Enrolment Planning Analyst supports academic scheduling, enrolment alignment, and SEM priorities across Faculties and Schools. Your role will be to maintain CourseLeaf, Infosilem, and PeopleSoft curriculum systems and act as liaison between the Registrar’s Office and the Faculties and Schools. You will translate enrolment trends into scheduling strategies, provide analysis and recommendations, support optimization of course offerings,
student progression, and manage space utilization to ensure efficient, data-informed scheduling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a primary OUR contact for Faculties and Schools on matters related to class and final examination scheduling, as well as enrolment-driven planning;
- Creating class schedules (Infosilem Academic) and final examination schedules (Infosilem Exam) following an annual timeline;
- Partnering with Faculties and Schools to interpret enrolment projections, historical trends, and student demand to inform scheduling decisions;
- Recommending scheduling patterns to support student access, progression, and program pathways;
- Supporting Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) priorities by aligning scheduling practices with enrolment targets, student access, and progression goals;
- Working with Scheduling and Curriculum Services, and other OUR units to ensure alignment between academic scheduling, curriculum changes, and operational processes;
- Updating and maintaining academic schedule dates (and related batch processes) in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions in collaboration with a Supervisor;
- Building and testing Enrollment Requirement Groups (ERG’s) for course and enrollment requisites in PeopleSoft;
- Contributing to institutional planning discussions related to enrolment growth, space utilization, and scheduling models;
- Supporting the development of institutional guidelines and best practices for scheduling, including demand-based and student-centered approaches;
- Tracking and analyzing data to identify high-demand courses, underutilized sections, and scheduling inefficiencies;
- Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and recurring analyses to support ongoing and future scheduling decisions; and
- Identifying trends and opportunities to improve scheduling processes, tools, and decision-making frameworks.
Skills
You will have:
- Knowledge of enrolment management principles, curriculum processes, and academic scheduling within a post-secondary environment;
- The ability to collect, analyze,
and interpret data to support enrolment planning, scheduling decisions, and operational problem-solving;
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and recommend evidence-based solutions;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with academic and administrative stakeholders;
- The ability to influence and provide guidance to stakeholders without formal authority in a collaborative, decentralized environment;
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; and
- The ability to work effectively in a complex, service-oriented environment with multiple internal stakeholders and interdependent processes.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in business, education, data analysis or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a post-secondary or complex organizational environment, with direct experience in one or more of the following areas: academic scheduling, curriculum administration, enrolment management, institutional planning, or data-informed academic operations.
- Experience with enterprise academic systems such as CourseLeaf, Infosilem, and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions would be considered an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
