The Temiskaming Hospital, located approximately 150 kilometres north of North Bay, is nestled upon the traditional territory of the Algonquin, Anishinaabe and Cree people along the beautiful shores of Lake Temiskaming.

Home to a number of provincial parks, lakes and nature trails and rich in culture and history, the area boasts a diverse population of French, English as well as aboriginal cultures and a work-life balance second to none!

TH offers a wide range of acute and post-acute care including emergency and intensive care, medical/surgical care, obstetrical, rehabilitation and complex/transitional care and palliative care services. Through regional partnerships and visiting specialists, TH is able to offer a broad range of outpatient services including dialysis and chemotherapy. In addition to the above, the Hospital offers laboratory, diagnostic imaging and mental health and addictions programs.

Current Recruitment Incentives:

Located in Temiskaming Shores, Temiskaming Hospital (TH) is a fully accredited, small community hospital committed to providing a full range of acute care services, as well as primary care.

Located in Temiskaming Shores with a population of approximately 9,600, the hospital meets the health care needs of a diverse population within the immediate and surrounding areas. As a key member of the Timiskaming Ontario Health Team, the hospital is the largest within its catchment area,



which in addition to the Timiskaming District, also includes the municipality of Temagami, representing a total catchment population of approximately 33,000.

As a leader in rural healthcare, the hospital operates 70 beds and employs more than 320 people, 30 physicians, 3 midwives, 15 visiting specialists, and an Allied Health Team providing inpatient and outpatient services including Surgical Services, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Clinical Nutrition. In addition, Temiskaming Hospital is the district’s referral hospital for Obstetrics and level 1B nursery services with C-section coverage, Telestroke services, and certain diagnostic imaging services. In partnership with Sudbury’s Health Sciences North, Temiskaming Hospital provides Systemic Treatment/Chemotherapy, Cardiac Rehabilitation Services and supports Virtual Critical Care and Satellite Dialysis programs.

Situé à Temiskaming Shores, une municipalité d’environ 9 600 personnes, l’hôpital répond aux besoins en soins de santé d’une population très diversifiée dans la région immédiate et les collectivités avoisinantes. Membre clé de l’équipe Santé Ontario de Timiskaming, il est le principal établissement hospitalier de son bassin de desserte, qui comprend non seulement le district de Timiskaming, mais aussi la municipalité de Temagami, pour une population totale d’environ 33 000 personnes.

Leader dans le domaine des soins de santé en milieu rural,



l’hôpital compte 70 lits et emploie plus de 320 personnes, dont 30 médecins, 3 parturologues, 15 spécialistes en consultation itinérante et une équipe paramédicale qui offre des services à une patientèle hospitalisée et ambulatoire, notamment en chirurgie, en ergothérapie, en physiothérapie, en travail social, en orthophonie, en inhalothérapie et en nutrition clinique. En outre, l’Hôpital Temiskaming constitue l’établissement de référence du district pour les services d’obstétrique et de pouponnière de niveau 1B avec prise en charge des césariennes, les services de TéléAVC, ainsi que certains services d’imagerie diagnostique. En partenariat avec Horizon Santé-Nord de Sudbury, il offre des services de traitement et de chimiothérapie, des services de réadaptation cardiovasculaire et appuie les programmes de soins intensifs virtuels et de dialyse en centre satellite.
