Green Sky Roofing & Exteriors is a growing commercial and residential roofing and exterior restoration contractor, operating since 2011 and expanding across Western Canada. We handle flat roofing, metal cladding, siding, and storm/hail restoration, with a strong pipeline of commercial and insurance-claim work.

The Role

We're hiring an experienced Flat Roofing Estimator to own accurate, competitive estimates across our commercial and insurance-restoration projects. This is a key role for someone who knows flat roofing inside and out, can read a job from drawings or a site visit, and can be trusted to protect our margins while winning the work.

What You'll Do

- Prepare accurate material, labour, and equipment takeoffs and estimates for flat and low-slope roofing projects
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, roofing specifications, and scope documents
- Estimate across all flat roof systems — torch-on/SBS modified bitumen, EPDM, TPO,



and built-up roofing (BUR)
- Prepare insurance/storm-restoration estimates for hail and wind damage, including Xactimate scoping
- Conduct site measurements, roof inspections, and assessments, or work from drone/satellite measurements
- Source and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
- Build clear, professional proposals and bid submissions, and track open tenders
- Work closely with project managers and sales to confirm scope, timelines, and target margins

What You Bring

- Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in flat/commercial roofing
- Hands-on knowledge of all major flat roof systems (torch-on/SBS, EPDM, TPO, BUR)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating tools (Xactimate, EagleView/iRoofing, PlanSwift, Edge, or similar) and Excel
- Strong math skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Understanding of local building codes and safe roofing practices
- Valid driver's licence
- Insurance/claims restoration estimating experience is a strong asset
