Work with Kamloops' Solid Waste Operations as an Equipment Operator III. This full time position offers a chance to operate heavy machinery and help keep the city clean and secure.
As a critical member of the Solid Waste team, you’ll operate and maintain large mobile equipment while ensuring safety and efficiency. Your role supports the city’s daily operations and directly impacts the community’s cleanliness and sustainability efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate large equipment for waste collection and management
• Conduct maintenance on operational machinery
• Assist with municipality street work and services
• Adhere to safety protocols during job tasks
• Work collaboratively within the operations team
Requirements:
• Completion of senior secondary school or equivalent
• Hold a valid BC Driver’s Licence Class 3 with air brake
• At least six months of experience in similar operations
• Skilled in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment
• Familiarity with municipal waste operational practices
