For more information on Lac La Biche County: and Purpose of the position These positions will (but are not limited to): Develop, deliver, and evaluate the training courses to enforcement professionals and qualifying candidates.
Coach and mentor students.
Collaborate with the Training Director on required equipment and materials for all training and program initiatives.
Want to be a part of our County team? To be successful in this position, you will: Come to us with education and previous experience as a bylaw officer, peace officer, sheriff or police officer with demonstrated passion to continue to develop in your field.
Bring knowledge and experience in developing and implementing various courses for law enforcement training or other post-secondary education.
Bring knowledge and teaching experience in providing and delivering educational material in formal and informal settings Bring excellent communications, interpersonal, public relations and customer service skills.
Be willing to coach and mentor students.
Hold knowledge and experience in developing policies and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Medical and Law Enforcement First Aid Instructor training is an asset.
Firearms experience is an asset.
Experience in other first responder capacities such as fire and EMS is an asset.
The Community Peace Officer Induction Program includes but is not limited to the following areas: Control Tactics Training Legal Studies, Strategic Communications, Traffic Stop Tactics PARE Emergency Vehicle Operations RADAR/LiDAR Shotgun Instruction Threat Pattern Recognition Incident Command System Medical and law enforcement first aid Firearms instruction Job Details Hourly: - depending on education and experie Program Hours typically Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 4:30 however, evening and weekend schedule depending on instructor availability.
Course delivery dates, stipend, travel, and accommodations to be mutuallyagreed upon with the
Director.
