Site Safety Officer – Construction (London Project, 2-Month Contract)

About The Role

SafetyCo is seeking a Site Safety Officer to support a 2-month construction project in London, Ontario. This field-based role is ideal for a safety professional who is confident working independently on active job sites while collaborating with project teams to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. You will play a key role in ensuring regulatory compliance, identifying hazards, and promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Key Responsibilities




Conduct routine site inspections, identify hazards, and provide explicit, actionable reports
Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety programs
Deliver site orientations and verify worker training compliance
Collaborate with supervisors and contractors to mitigate risks
Participate in project and safety meetings, providing recommendations
Assist with incident investigations and documentation
Liaise with regulatory authorities as required

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
Strong knowledge of Ontario OHSA and Construction Regulations (O. Reg. 213/91)
Experience with inspections, hazard identification, and reporting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a quick-paced environment
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
